CSU Academic Student Workers are preparing to bargain a new contract with CSU Administration this coming Summer and Fall — UAW 4123 members are launching a Contract Action Team for members to stay informed and mobilize to support the fight for a fair new contract.
What is the Contract Action Team?
In order for UAW 4123 members to win a strong contract, it takes all 10,000 Teaching Associates, Graduate Assistants, Instructional Students Assistants working together to build our across the 23 CSU campuses. Every department, tutoring center, and lab needs members who are informed about the contract campaign and ready to mobilize for actions to win.
What do CAT members do?
Publicly participate: attend bargaining sessions, attend occasional town halls on Zoom, wear union gear, and be a visible union supporter in your workplace, department, lab, cohort, or floor.
Stay informed: stay informed and inform others of updates about the contract campaign and share them with your coworkers through staying up to date on bargaining updates via email and our website.
Mobilize coworkers: participate in ratification votes, petitions, and actions in support of a contract campaign
Expand the CAT: build the power of the CAT by identifying and inviting fellow member-activists in your department and workplace to join the CAT
How do I join the CAT?
Any member can join the CAT by filling out the form below and attending a short onboarding and training session.
